COLEMAN, Rita Irene (née St. Onge) - 1923-2003 - Passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family after a lengthy battle with cancer, on Monday, March 10, 2003, at the age of 79. Loving wife of the late Blair. Left to treasure her memory are her daughter Nancy of Sturgeon Falls and son Dan (Lucy) of Kitchener. Rita will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Amy and Terry and also her great-granddaughter Bryanna. Survived by one sister, Gracia (Ernest Bray) of Sturgeon Falls. Predeceased by one son, Bruce, her parents, Frederick and Exilda (née Laplante), by four brothers and six sisters. Rita was a registered nurse for 40 years and touched a great number of people’s hearts. She had beauty, inner strength and was truly an angel on earth. At her request, no visitation. Reverend Edward Wawrzyk will celebrate a memorial service at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church, on Friday, March 14, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by her family.
