Dean was a graduate of Springfield Senior High School. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving at the end of World War II. He was united in marriage to Velma Ruth Cramer on July 31, 1948 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Dean worked for Frisco and Burlington Northern Railroads as a Brakeman, retiring in 1991.Dean and Velma are members of Agape Life Fellowship. He loved woodworking and fishing. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Bill and Joe Williams; three sisters, Sue Wingo, Flora Williams, and Ann Jaeger; one grandson, Robby Perkins.He is survived by his loving wife, Velma Ruth Williams of the home; four children, Veldeana Cloven and husband Truman of Springfield; Gail Morrissey and husband Tom of Branson; Danny Williams and wife Kathleen of Springfield; Jeff Williams and wife Shirley of Republic; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother John Williams and wife Socorro of Houston TX; and a host of friends and family.Graveside services will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at 3:00p.m.The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 3:00p.m., in Greenlawn North Funeral Home.Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn North Funeral Home.
