SO. CHINA, ME Richard A. Beland,62, of So. China, Maine,formerly of Littleton, MA for many years, died Monday (May 18,2009) at the Maine Medical Center in Waterville after an illness. He leaves six brothers Alfred E. Beland of Berlin, Ernest E. Beland of Hudson, Ronald. R. Beland of Hudson, Philip R. Beland of Catawba,VA, David A. Beland of Charlestown, N.H. and Wayne D. Beland of Northwood, N.H. and a sister Shirley E. Mahar of So. China, Maine. Also leaves many nieces and nephews. Brother of the late Lucille Chisholm, Gordon Beland and Edith Beland. He was born in Marlborough,MA son of the late Alfred P. and Eva L. (Rollins) Beland and has lived in Maine for the past 2 yrs. He was a graduate of Nashoba Regional High School in Bolton. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War. For almost 20 years he was a shipping specialist for Radant Radar Manufacturing Co. of Stow until he moved to So. China. He was a member of the Hudson AMVETS. Funeral services will be held on Saturday (May 23,2009) at 10 A.M. in the John P. Rowe Funeral Home Inc., 57 Main St., Marlborough,MA. Burial with military honors will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Stow, MA. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday 5 til 8 P.M. Memorial donations may be made to Our Danny Cancer Fund, P.O.
