Therien, Rene (1944 - 2004) It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother Rene, in Tokyo, Japan, on June 24th, 2004. Predeceased by our parents J. Rene Therien (former Mayor of Aylmer) and Ruth Knox. He was the loving husband for over 25 years of Shizuka Therien and dear step-son of Helene (Duguay) Therien, cherished brother of Ann (Gerard Quenneville), Frank (Jo-Ann Higgs), Emile (Beth Bowie), Gerard (Linda Lanteigne) and Marc (Linda McKenna). He will be fondly remembered by his aunt Winnifred Knox and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and associates in many, many countries he visited. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service, which will take place at St-Paul's Church in Aylmer on July 16, 2004 at 11 a.m. The family will be present at 10:30 in order to accept your condolences. In memory of Rene, if you wish, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
