BELL _ (Goldsmith) R. Diane April 26, 1943 - May 14, 2007 Diane passed away at the Strathmore Hospital in the early hours of Monday, May 14, 2007 at the age of 64 years. "God has finally taken away her pain" allowing her to join her parents, Bob and Margaret Goldsmith, and her brother, Richard. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her devoted husband, Ken, her children, Grant (Cara) and Robin (Jason), and her "precious gift" granddaughter Sage, all of Strathmore Alberta. She also leaves to mourn, her sisters, Marilyn (Hugh) and Sandy (Bill); and brothers, Neal (Anne) and Robert (Mae Ann); as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. Diane was a master teacher, musician, counsellor, and friend. She began her teaching career in Gleichen before moving on to teach in Calgary, Spruce View, Cluny, Standard, and Strathmore. She was a mentor and role model to many. She thoroughly enjoyed golfing, dancing, skiing, and RV-ing with friends especially down south during the winter months. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 18, 2007 at Hope Community Covenant Church (245 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore) at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Murray Etty of Strathmore United Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society (Second Floor, 215 - 12 Avenue S.E., Calgary, T2G 1A2), or the Palliative Care Unit care of Strathmore District Health Foundation (200 Brent Boulevard, Strathmore, T1P 1J9).
