Phyllis Linnea Williams (nee Wennerbom) February 21st, 1934-September 10th, 2010 With her family by her side, the passing of Phyllis Williams, of Saskatoon, SK. occurred on Friday, September 10th, 2010. She leaves to mourn her loving husband of 57 years Ken; children Lyle (Brenda), Diane (Denis) Smail, Gary (Yvonne), Darryl (Melanie); eighteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother Helmer Wennerbom; numerous relatives and friends. Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved daughter Janice Brown in 2005; brother Eldon and by her parents (Knut and Annie). Phyllis and Ken were married in Naicam, SK on August 12th 1953 and made their home in Saskatoon. Mom and Dad celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary this year. Mom had a passion for her family. Her love surrounded us all. Our happiness was her ultimate wish and prayer. Mom and Dad and family shared many wonderful times at Martins Lake. We can all picture her sitting on the deck steps watching her children and grandchildren laugh and play. And she was always there to give praise to the big and small catches of the day. Nights around the campfire telling stories were favourite times for her. Mom loved to garden and she loved her flowers. Canning was always a yearly event at the family home. If you asked her grandchildren what their favourite food was they would all agree on her cinnamon buns. Mother had a special knack of making old and new people who came into her life feel like family. Phyllis was a devoted and loving wife; mother, grandmother, sister and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Love you forever mom (Mamie). A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, September 14th, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home (east on 8th Street, first right past Briargate Road) with Gary Williams officiating. Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Family and friends may send condolences from the website www.hillcrestmemorial.ca .
