WILLIAMS, Pearl Laloge (Walters) Mom was born on September 17, 1923 and passed away peacefully on April 18, 2011. She was predeceased by her husbands Marc Laloge and Brian Williams, and brothers Weldrick, Albert, Orville and Bob. She is survived by her sons Bob (Barb), Greg (Judy) and her daughter Janet (Ray Holme), her grandchildren Bryan, Brent (Paige), Laura (James Simpson), Matt Holme and Justin Holme and her great-grandson Declan Laloge. She is also survived by her sisters Margaret Speer, Anita (Martin), Esther Galloway, Sibyl Whalley, Winnie (Ray Treiber), Audrey Shackleton and Katherine (Dick Field). As well, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews. After leaving high school, Mom worked for the Imperial Bank of Commerce in Waskatenau, Alberta. She was transferred to Fort St. John, B.C. in the early `40's and later to Pouce Coupe. In 1945, she met our father, Marc Laloge, a dashing Flight Lieutenant who had just returned home from overseas. They were married in 1946 and three children followed. In 1956, Mom returned to work part-time at the Pouce Coupe Post Office, later taking a full-time position as Postmaster. She was intelligent, funny and talented. Every day you could find Mom in her favourite part of the house the kitchen. She had a passion for cooking and baking and we were the lucky recipients. Our home was always a welcoming place for family and friends for coffee, dinner, or an impromptu party. Never shy, she expressed her opinions freely which was matched only by her quick wit and wonderful sense of humour. She worked incredibly hard in order to juggle both family and work and did it with great skill. She always strived to enjoy life to the fullest. She had a rewarding social life enjoying music, dancing and being with people. Most of all, she loved her family and friends. We will miss her beautiful face and smile. She taught us the value of hard work, loyalty, respect and a sense of duty to our community and for that we will be forever grateful. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of B.C. Condolences may be offered at www.victoryfuneralcentre.ca
