Patricia F. Harris 1927 - 2011 Uncasville - Patricia F. Harris, age 84, formerly of Uncasville, passed away peacefully at Fairview Nursing Home in Groton. Patricia was born in Hartford on January 24, 1927, the daughter of Melvina Bania and stepdaughter of Stanley Bania. Patricia held many jobs in life, from working at the Aetna Life Insurance to retiring from the former Jordan Marsh at the Crystal Mall. One of her most memorable accomplishments was the start of P.A.L. (Police Athletic League) for underprivileged children living in the projects. Every summer you could find her out in her garden planting flowers, the season that she loved the best. She cared for all animals and rescued many cats. Patricia is survived by her daughter Carol Martin of Uncasville and son-in-law William Martin III of Uncasville and a few cousins. A special thank you to Crystal for all the care she gave my mom through the years. A funeral home service will be held at The Montville Funeral Home of Church and Allen on Saturday at 9:00 A.M.
