SCHENECTADY Patricia Anne Smith, 58, of Schenectady, died August 24, 2004 at St. Clare's Hospital after a long illness. Born in Colonie, August 10, 1946 to the late Robert and Dorothy Uszner, she was a graduate of Colonie Central High School, Class of 1964, and received her associate's degree from Hudson Valley Community College. Patricia lived in the community all her life. She worked in the dental field for a number of years and also worked as a home health aide. A communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal Church and a former member of the Octavos. Patricia loved to cook and enjoyed camping and being outdoors. She was a very caring and loving individual. Survivors include her devoted husband, David L. Smith, to whom she was married on January 24, 1970. She was the loving mother of Michael D. Smith; sister of Michael Uszner of Colonie. Also survived by several loving and caring nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1911 Fairview Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12306. Fr. Blacklock will officiate. Relatives and friends are invited to attend and may call at Light's Funeral Home, 1428 State Street, Schenectady on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00. Private interment will be held on Monday in Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville. If desired, contributions may be made in Patricia's name to St. Paul's Episcopal Church at the above address.
