TUSCALOOSA Patricia Ann Morris, age 85, died May 7, 2011, at VA Hospice. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Heritage Chapel with Bro. Jimmy Garner officiating. Burial will follow in Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, Ala. at 1:15 p.m. with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her two daughters, Suzie and Terri; her parents, Taylor and Robert Folland; her three brothers, Michael Folland, Mike Waylon (Melvin Folland) and Robert Folland.Survivors include her daughters, Pattie Zimmerman of Coaling, Erica Eberhard of Calif., and Janet Sargent (Ted) of Cottondale; her sisters, Doris Folland of Richmond, Va. and Judy Folland of Va.; her brother Lloyd Folland of Richmond, Va.; 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She had many achievements in her life. She served in the U.S. Army as a nurse and was a lifetime member of the DAV as chaplain of the Thunderbird chapter in Las Vegas, Nev. She also had her time in the lime-light while in show business as a dancer. Later, she became President for a fostering parenting organization in Marango Valley, Calif. Children were her true joy in life from raising her daughters to being a Brownie troop leader and being a foster mom for most of her life. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed. Heaven gained an angel that day. In our hearts, she will stay. Pallbearers will be Michael D. Price, Howard E. Price, Ted C. Sargent, Charles D. Spires, Clifford L. Morrison-Price, and Hunter R. Wheat. Honorary pallbearers are Robert D. Perkins, Triston J. Morrison, nursing staff and Dr.'s at the VA of Tuscaloosa, staff from the 6th and 7th floors of DCH Regional Medical Center. Condolences may be offered at www.heritagechapeltuscaloosa.com.
