HORTON, PAUL W. HORTON, PAUL W. age 55 of Alabaster, AL passed away July 19, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Robbins Horton. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan Horton, children Sherrie VanCleef, Michael Hancock, Jennifer Holmstrom, six grandchildren, Mother, Trecene Horton, sister, Connie Sessions, brothers, James Horton, Carl Blake Horton and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was a graduate of Butler High School in Huntsville, Alabama and played football at Mississippi State University. He was a former director of the local Honda Gold Wing Club, a Mason, a member of the Scottish Rites, and a Shriner. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, with a great sense of humor and a zeal for life. Everyone that knew Paul loved him and were forever friends. A memorial service will be held Saturday July 23, 2011 at 10 AM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to The United Way Head Injury Foundation. >
