SMITH Myrtle Mae (Kay) Smith, 93, passed away July 23, 2004 under the care of Hospice. A native of Escambia County, Fl., Myrtle has lived in Jacksonville for most of her adult life. She lived in North Carolina for a spell before making Jacksonville her permanent residence. She is survived by her children; Fran Whitting, Thomas (Tex) and Pat Crider and Joyce and Paul Cox, grandchildren; Rusty Whitting, Patti Hodges, Warren Crider, Denise Wright, Dena Monty, Adam Crider, Jeff Crider and Chris Cox, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sisters; Ester Brown, Johnnie Lou Williams and Abby Jane Adams. Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Howard Smith and eldest son Claude Crider. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 25, 2004 from 3-5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Arlington Park Funeral Home.
