Milton was born Sept. 18, 1922 in Decatur, IL, the son of Birdie (nee Palmer) and Roy Alexander. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Mary Jessie (nee Lopez) Alexander, whom he married Oct. 4, 1949. She passed away in 2010. Milton worked for US Steel Rail Mill, Gary Works, and then owned and operated Milton's Sunoco Station, Hobart, IN for 18 years. He served in the US Army as a tank mechanic under General Patton's Third Army, 25th Army Tank Battalion in Germany during World War II. Milton had no children but leaves numerous nieces and nephews. He will be buried at Bay Pines Military Funeral Care Center, Clearwater. Graveside services will be conducted at a date yet to be determined.
