Memorial Park Funeral Home, North Riverside Chapel, announces the passing of Mrs. Mildred Louise (Kokie) Cox, age 69, of Wahoo Circle, Gainesville, on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at her residence following an extended illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2008, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, North Riverside Chapel, with interment to follow at Cool Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Phillip Wehunt and the Rev. Gloria Gilstrap will officiate. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, at Memorial Park, North Riverside Chapel, 989 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, GA 30501. Mrs. Cox was a Hall County native and was the daughter of Lurie (Loggins) Garrett and the late Noah Garrett. She was a member of Rock Hill Congregational Holiness Church. Mrs. Cox is survived by her daughters, Vicki Housley and Robin Dunahoo, both of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Allen Woodall, Clermont; grandchildren, Zachary and Kendra Sosebee, Jeremy and Sarah Dunahoo, Jessica Dunahoo, Laura Housley, Dustin Woodall and Josh Mote; four great-grandchildren, April and Camden Donahoo and Coltyn and Katie Sosebee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Valeria Garrett, Marietta, and Danny and Fannie Garrett, Gainesville; a number of nieces and nephews; special friends, Debbie Bales, Elaine Tennent, Darlene Shastedn, David Stowers, April Mills and James and Kim Newman; and other family and friends also survive. Special thanks to the nursing staff of 5 East at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
