SMITH MICHAEL PATRICK, 58Chiefland - Mr. Michael "Duffy" Patrick Smith (Dinardi), age 58, of Chiefland, FL passed away on May 6, 2008. He lived in North Reading, MA where he graduated from high school in 1968. He worked for the United States Equestrian Three Day Eventing Team and accompanied them to the 1968 Olympics in Mexico. He also worked for the Australian Equestrian Team during their international competition at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He joined the U.S. Army and completed a tour of duty in Vietnam. Duffy had a lifelong love of horses and worked as a successful Farrier until his retirement. He and his family moved to Morriston, FL where he lived until his death. He is survived by his daughter Tara Smith of Reddick; sons Keefe, Michael and his wife Tiffany of Williston. He also leaves his parents Frank and Patricia Dinardi of Ocala. Siblings Danni Callahan of York Beach, ME, Frank Dinardi of Ocala, and Trina Cefalo of Boston, MA, five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private with interment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. A memorial service will follow at a later date.
