AUGUSTA, Ga.- Michael Lee Smith, 51 of Augusta entered into rest on September 7, 2003 at University Hospital. Family members include his sister and brother-in-law: Sandra S. and Scott Allen of Augusta; brothers and sister-in-law: H. Thornton and Mary Helen Smith Jr. of Atlanta and the late Robert Sigman Smith. Nieces and nephews will serve as pallbearers, Anna Salley Wilson, William Harvey Salley, John Joseph Salley, Harvey Thornton Smith, III, Ryan Voegeli Smith, Thad Michael Smith, Robert Coleman Smith and Brian Newman Smith. Mr. Smith was a native of Augusta and has lived in the area most of his life. He was a graduate of Richmond Academy and Santa Fe Junior College. The graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2003 at 3 p.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Boyd Lien officiating.
