Funeral for Mattie Lee Parker, 80, of Trinity will be Thursday, May 6, 2004, at 2 p.m. at Parkway Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Sparks, the Rev. Waymon Ashley and the Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Burial will be in Providence Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. Mrs. Parker died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, at her residence. She was born Dec. 11, 1923, in Lawrence County. She attended Bread of Life Church of Jesus. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Parker.Survivors include four sons, Willard Parker and wife Mary, Hershel Parker and wife Shirley, Ferrel Parker and wife Marie and Randall Parker; three daughters, Lannie Adams and husband Donnie, Nesi Busing and husband Doug and Traci Hopkins and husband Robbie; four brothers, Nathaniel Randolph, Wendell Randolph, Rayburn Randolph and Carroll Randolph; two sisters, Paralee Blaxton and Nell Tyler; 22 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital Donations Office, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
