ANDERSON-Mattie C. (nee Griffin) December 19, 2006; beloved wife of the late Maxwell; devoted mother of Judith (Byers, Badger) Anderson and the late Gerald Maxwell and Michael Leo Anderson; grandmother of two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister of Mary Griffin, Claudia Taylor (Hank), William Griffin and the late Andrew, James H. and Pearl (Echols) Richardson; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, January 3, 2007 at Elim Christian Fellowship, 70 Chalmers Ave., Buffalo, NY. Mrs. Anderson and her late husband Maxwell owned and operated Anderson Lanes, one of the first two black owned bowling establishments in Buffalo from 1963 until 1985. Mattie was a founding member of the Buffalo Bowling Senate. Mattie was also a member of the American Business Women's Assn. and Innerclub Council of WNY.
