AUGUSTA, Ga.- Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie McCord Anderson, who entered into rest October 16, 2012 at her residence will be held Saturday, October 20, 2012 at 12:00 noon at Tabernacle Baptist Church. Rev. Ray C. Lewis will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Anderson was a native of Lincoln County and a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Rev. George T. (Isabell) McCord of Evans, GA; two sisters, Margaret Sullivan, Baltimore, MD and Robenia (John) Vance, Augusta, GA; brother- in- law, Roy Sullivan, Evans, GA; one step-daughter, Larita (George) Providence and one step-son, Lorenzo Anderson; five grandchildren, Patricia Nwankwo, Hawaii, Orlando (Tina) McCord, London, England, Lorenzo Todd (Jamie) McCord, Evans, GA, Corey (Karen) McCord, Grovetown, GA and Jonett Henderson, Atlanta GA; great grands, Terrance, Keiran, Darrien, Cornelius, Tyler, Zachary and Layla.
