WILLIAMS Mary Rose "Nina" Williams passed away on Monday, September 3, 2007 in her home surrounded by her family and close friends. She was born May 16, 1923 in Harrogate, Tennessee. She was raised on a farm and truly appreciated and valued the gifts and family with which she was blessed. Mary was married at the age of 16 to Warren Williams, who she met while attending Lincoln Memorial University. Mary Rose & Warren shared 67 years of happiness together. Mary received her B.S. and M.A. in Teaching from Jacksonville University in 1971 where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She taught at Hendricks Avenue Elementary for 20 years. The impact she had on the lives of her students is still felt today. She was a perfectionist, professional, mother, grandmother, and ultimately, a loving wife to Warren. She will be greatly missed, as she touched so many lives during her 84 year journey. Mary leaves behind her husband, Warren - she was the love of his life; daughters, Mary Ann Reckner of Jacksonville & Lisa Stokes (Mark) of Florence, SC; son, Warren D. Williams of Navarre, FL; brother, Doyle England (Carol); grandchildren, Natalie Gardner (Johnny), Tal Jones (Marcia), Amber Williams, Scott Williams (Autumn), Jennifer Stokes, Chandler Stokes; great grandchildren, Allison & Ross Gardner, Garrett Jones, Cody & Kaley Williams and a loving extended family. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 6, 2007 at Oaklawn Cemetery. The family received friends from 7-9 PM Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 4115 Hendricks Avenue.
