COX Mary Jean Cox, 86, born March 28, 1924 to Marlboro Thomas Bowyer and Cecelia Rogan Bowyer in Sumter, SC, passed away July 9, 2010 in Jacksonville, FL. Mary Jean worked forty years as a Regional Branch Secretary at GMAC. She lovingly volunteered her time for many years at the Arlington Christian Church. Boating and RVing became her favorite past times traveling the United States. Mary Jean is preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Bowyer. She is survived by her husband of sixty five wonderful years, Theron T. Cox, Jr.; one son, Fred Lee Cox and wife Carol, one granddaughter, Jennifer Leigh Lewis and husband Sid; two great grandchildren and one sister, Betty Breeland and husband Fred. A service to honor Mary's memory will be held 11AM, Wednesday, July, 14, 2010 at Arlington Christian Church, 8075 Lone Star Rd, Jacksonville, FL, with Pastor Milton Willford officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, 850 St. Johns Bluff North, Jacksonville, FL.
