Mary Gale Gibson, 60, of Medora, died at 9:45 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at her residence.Born July 21, 1953, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of William Orville Spence and Ada Ruth Collins Spence, both of whom preceded her in death.Survivors include a son, William Matthew (Lori) Gibson, Corydon; a daughter, Misty Marie Newman, Medora; three grandchildren, Trevor Lee Newman, Willie Taylor Newman and John Wesley Newman; brothers, Tom Collins, Seymour, and William Orville Spence II, Medora; and a sister, Elizabeth Leona Cornett, Medora.Mary was a member of Medora Christian Church and had worked for several years at the Medora Kwik-Stop, Russell Stover in Brownstown and the Medora Plastic Factory. She also had been a homemaker.A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hague Funeral Home, Medora, with Jeff McPike officiating.Burial will be in Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery.Calling will be from 9 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home.
