(nee Smith) In hospital, Wednesday, February 5, 2003, in her 92nd year. Wife of the late Rhys Wykeham Fortune Arengo-Jones, daughter of the late Dr. Israel Goldwin Smith and the late Alice Smith (nee Pepper). Predeceased by twin brother Dr. H. Goldwin Smith and sister-in-law Margaret Smith (nee Rothwell). Fondly remembered by nephews Ian (Fran) Smith, Nicholas (Bev) Smith, and nieces Sally Smith and Joanne (Alan) Way. Missed by great-nephew Matthew (Sarah) Kurtz, and great-nieces Meegan (Jonathan) Loudon, Samantha (Brad) Henderson, Shauna (Gord) Hanna, Alex (Chris Vinella) Kurtz, Benjie Smith, Tamara Smith and Ashley Way. Was just getting to know great-great-nephews Josh Smith, Riley Hanna and Rowan Henderson, and great-great-nieces Skyler Loudon, Goldie Vinella and Madeleine Kurtz. She was a grand old lady who loved the boys and was in awe of all the young women in her life. We'll miss her. Friends may visit at the West Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 150 Woodroffe Ave. at Richmond Rd. on Monday, February 10, 2003 from 1 p.m. until service time in the chapel at 3 p.m. Betty would have appreciated any donations to be sent to local Humane Societies.
