WilliamsLoving mother, grandmother, and sister; 88 LOWELL -- Martha Gloria (Johnson) Williams, age 88, a resident of Lowell, died peacefully on July 18, 2014, at Town and Country Nursing Home in Lowell.She was the beloved wife of the late Edward B. Williams who passed away in 1984.Martha was born on January 3, 1926 in Lowell, and was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Ann (Shaw) Johnson.She attended Lowell High School and graduated from Wilfred Academy in Boston, studying cosmetology. In her early years, she was employed as a hair stylist at Jordan Marsh in Lowell.Martha enjoyed her family and pet dogs over the years. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.She is survived by her two children, David A. Williams and his wife, Laura of Windham, NH, and Patricia Williams of Lowell; her two grandchildren, Erika Shoukimas and her husband, Adam of Windham, NH, and David E. Williams of Peabody; her great-grandson, Oak E. Shoukimas, her sister, Elsie Guyer of Tewksbury; and three nephews.Martha was predeceased by her sister, Florence (Allen) Johnston.WILLIAMS -- Visitation will be held at the BLAKE FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD on Tuesday from 10 until 11 am followed by her Funeral Service at 11 o'clock at the funeral home.
