MERIDEN - Mark P. Williams, 25, of Crown St., Meriden, died unexpectedly, Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008. Born in Meriden, Aug. 22, 1983, beloved son of Lynne and Tobin Bailey and Lisa Williams and the late, Mark J. Williams, he had been a lifelong Meriden, Wallingford resident. Mark was a graduate of O. H. Platt High School, class of 2001, and had played baseball at both Platt and Maloney High Schools. He was voted rookie of the year for the South Meriden Youth League in 1991. He had been employed by Thurston Foods in Wallingford, and also was the general contractor for the Storage Depot, LLC of North Haven. Besides his parents, Mark is survived by his life partner, Jessica Wnek; their infant daughter, Mariyah Marie Williams and Jessica's daughter, Jocelyn Belomizi; his grandparents, Richard and Dolores Williams, Geraldine and David St. Hilaire, Harry and Barbara (Homerston) Geiger, Lorraine Bailey and the late, Eugene Bailey, Eugene and Anita Segaline and Marie Carabetta; his great-grandmother, Bargara Geiger; his brothers and sisters, Michael Williams, Hailey Gdovin, Matthew Williams, Emily Williams, Amber Bailey and Chelsea Bailey; his aunts and uncles, Beth and Jay Souza, Rodney and Susan Williams, Richard and Sally Williams, Deb and Steve Laccone, Eugene and Cheryl Segaline, Amy and Greg Martin, Kevin and Joanne Donadio, Todd and Debbie Bailey, Justin Geiger, Lynn Homerston, Lou Homerston, Mary Jo Lanzillotta, David St. Hilaire, Jr., Renee St Hilaire, Alfred St. Hilaire and Amy Koska; and many cousins. Mark was an avid Red Sox, New York Giant and Notre Dame fan. He enjoyed many outdoor sports but most of all enjoyed fishing with his family and friends at Lake Saltonstall. Mark was a very talented writer and aspired to be a great musician. He was a founding member in forming the group "Conn Artists" that included his best friends and his brother Michael. Mark loved his family and friends very much and the most precious gift in his life, was the birth of his daughter Mariyah. Mark's family meant everything to him and he will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched. His family would like to extend their sincere thanks to all of their neighbors and friends and extended family for their love and support at this tragic time. His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in The Wallingford Funeral Home, Thursday, at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
