Funeral service for Marjorie Williams, 84, Daytona Beach, will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 23, 2008 at New St. James Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. C.L. Robinson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. today (Thursday, May 22) at Herbert Thompson Funeral Home. Marjorie Williams passed from this earthly life on Sunday, May 18, 2008. She was born June 11, 1923, in Rock Hill, S.C. She was the eleventh of fourteen children, which all siblings preceded her in death. Marjorie was a faithful member of New St. James Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed her. She leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, George P. Moffett (Alma), Hope Mills, N.C., and Marvin L. Williams, Daytona Beach; eight grandchildren, Altoria Triplett, Jackson, Miss., Vaughn Moffett, Atlanta, Ga., Karen Boone, Harker Heights, Texas, George Moffett, Jr., Cary, N.C., Ronald Moffett, Fredericksburg, Va., Mondae Moss, Hope Hills, Marvin Williams, II, Bradenton, Fla., and Chandler Robinson, Daytona Beach; and a host of great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
