Collins, Marguerite E. MCKOWNVILLE Marguerite E. Collins of McKownville, died Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn after a brief illness. Born in Richmond, Ind., the daughter of the late Harry Sr. and Viola Sanford. Mrs. Collins was a Guilderland resident for over 50 years and was an operator for the New York Telephone Company, retiring in 1979. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Hanrahan of Guilderland; a granddaughter, Megan Hanrahan of Queens, N.Y.; grandsons, Matthew Hanrahan and his partner John Futia of Albany and Patrick Hanrahan of Queens, N.Y.; her sister, Eleanor Sanford and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, William Collins; sisters: Edith Collins, Pauline Scott, Gladys Scott and Betty Underdue; brothers, Harry II, Kenneth, Ernest and James Sanford. Calling hours will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.) with services to follow.
