Margaret Renee Watts, 48, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010, after a long time of dealing with cancer.She was received into her Heavenly Father's arms the same day and forever will remain in heaven.Margaret was born March 19, 1962, at Lisenby Hospital in Panama City and lived most of her life in Panama City. She attended Panama City Christian School from kindergarten until her graduation in 1980. Margaret received numerous awards, including Most School Spirit and Best Christian Character for three years.After graduation, she attended Haney Vo-Tech where she graduated from the LPN school and went on to be a loving and caring LPN for 10 years. After a brief time in Texas, she returned to Panama City with her twin boys. In 1993, she graduated from the RN program at Gulf Coast Community College. Through the years of her involvement with the Boy Scouts of America, she became the district advanced chairman and district executive chairman. Margaret was a member of First Baptist Church of Panama City. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patsy Berry Watts (May 2009); brother, William Troy Watts (February 1987); aunts, uncles and cousins. Margaret is survived by her father, Donald Watts; twin sons, William Bradley Watts and Nicholas Troy Watts; sister, Dr. Charlotte Watts and husband, Gary Russell. A celebration of Margaret's life will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Panama City with the Rev. Chris Love officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Richard Cowden, Preston Cowden, Jim Berry, Mark Berry, Cory Gibson and Shawn Gallagher. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. John Nanfro and the Precious Ladies Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 until 8 p.m. at Southerland Family Funeral Home, Panama City.In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to Covenant Hospice or the First Baptist Church Building Fund.
