'Eileen'Margaret Ellen 'Eileen' Williams, age 80 of Sleepy Hollow, a beloved spouse, mother and grandmother passed unexpectedly after a brief illness on Friday June 27, 2014. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 16, 1934 to Margaret and John Bailey, Margaret, who went by her nickname "Eileen", was one of eleven brothers and sisters. Eileen travelled to the U.S. in 1956 with her childhood and lifelong friend, Colette Ore (also of Sleepy Hollow). Eileen worked and volunteered for St. Teresa's School as a teacher's aide where most of her own children had attended. She also worked many years at sons' Jimmy and John's Auto Repair business located in Tarrytown. Eileen and Allen were married January 11, 1958 at Sacred Heart Church in Hartsdale, NY. A 46-year resident of Sleepy Hollow, Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 56 years , Allen Williams, Sr. and their nine beloved children: Allen Williams, Jr. ( Fran) of Greenwich CT, James Williams (Wendy) of White Plains NY, Sharon Williams ( Leonard Fogel) of Lagrangeville NY, Joseph Williams of Sleepy Hollow, John Williams ( Grace) of White Plains NY, Brian Williams of Sleepy Hollow, Marie Miller (Craig) of New Canaan CT, Glenn Williams ( Jamie) of Carmel NY and Lynn Stephan (Cary) of Briarcliff Manor NY as well as twenty-three grandchildren..Eileen loved to sing and was the life of the party at family gatherings. She will be remembered by family and friends for her love of the Catholic faith, singing, playing the piano and dancing.Margaret was a longtime parishioner of St. Teresa's Church and Immaculate Conception Church located in the Village of Sleepy Hollow.Visiting hours will be at Coffey Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4PM and 7-9PM. Her Funeral Mass will be at Immaculate Conception Church in Sleepy Hollow on Tuesday at 10AM.
