Mimie Lee Williams of Haverstraw, died Thursday, September 18, 2003 at Nyack Hospital. She was 70. Mimie was born September 5, 1933 in Live Oak Florida to Grant and Mimie (Hawkins) McKnight. She worked as a Health Care Aide for Nurses Registry in Spring Valley until her retirement. Mimie is survived by her loving daughter, Nurecine and her husband Collis Jr. of Pomona; grandchildren, LeTryel and her husband Chris of Spring Valley, Collis III and Trohn of Pomona. She is also survived by her five great-grandchildren and brother, Eligah McKnight; sisters Haggar and Dellamae McKnight all of Gainesville, FL; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Wednesday 5-9PM at the Fairmont Baptist Church, Haverstraw. Mimie's Funeral Service will be celebrated Thursday at 1:00PM at Fairmont Baptist Church, 39 Division Street, Haverstraw. Rev. Raymond C. Caliman officiating. Burial in the family plot will be private for the family.
