He was critically injured in a vehicle accident on Tuesday, December 21, 2010. Michael was born on August 19, 1986 in Fort Myers, the son of Michael Paul and Janet Phillips Jr. He was a 2004 graduate of North Fort Myers High School and attended the University of South Florida. Michael met his wife, Casey, in high school and together they planned a life together. They were married April 4, 2009 at First Christian Church -the happiest day of their lives. He was one of the owners of the family seal coating business, All American Seal Coating, and worked at the Walmart Distribution center in Punta Gorda.Michael loved sports, especially football and baseball, having played both throughout his life. He was a stand-out player in Cape Coral Junior Football and North Fort Myers Little League, and played both sports in high school. He wanted to coach his own children in sports one day. Michael loved his family and his friends and spending time with them was the best. He was full of life and love and happiness. Our lives will never be the same without his daily presence laughing, loving and living among us.Michael is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Casey June (Bromby) Phillips, his parents Michael Paul Jr. and Janet Phillips, maternal grandparents Ernest and Corrine Bratcher, Siblings Kelli (Tommy) Crafton, Kristin (Tim) Anderson, Kari (Matt) Marra, Tony and Austin Phillips, his mother-in-law, Carol Hogan Bromby, brothers-in-law, Chris (Shauna) and Cory Bromby, nieces and nephew, Taylor and Ally Anderson, Kalli and Tyndell Crafton, Iain and Raina Bromby and Malorie Marra (expected February, 2011), several aunts, uncles, cousins and life-long best friends.A memorial celebration of Michael's life will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at 1:00 PM, at First Christian Church of Fort Myers, 2061 McGregor Blvd. In lieu of flowers, the Phillips family suggests donations to the CCJFA or NFMLL, or the children's charity of your choice in his memory.
