Mary F. McDowell, a resident of Rye Brook, NY died August 28, 2007. She was 93 and was born March 25, 1914 in Purchase, NY. She was raised and educated in Port Chester. She was married to the late Robert D. McDowell, Mr. McDowell died in 1979. She was a homemaker and a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester. She was also active in the Community Chest, the American Red Cross and the Girl Scouts. Mrs. McDowell is survived by her son, Robert McDowell of Kihei, HI., grandson, Sean McDowell of Shrub Oak, NY., and granddaughter, Ashley McDowell of Kihei, HI. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Catherine McDowell on June 22, 2007 and by brother, John Foy and sister, Ann Greeley. Visitation will be 6-8 pm (Today) Thursday, August 30, 2007 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am on Friday, August 31, 2007 at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 260 Westchester Ave, Port Chester, NY.
