-> Ms. Lula Mae Cobb Johnson Nelson, 80, died Sunday Feb. 5, 2006 . The Athens, Ga., native was educated in Clarke County public schools. She attended Savannah Technical Institute. She worked at the Manger Hotel and the Desoto Hilton, she also worked at St. Joseph Hospital as a dietician until she retired in 1989, and was a member of Townsley Chapel AME Church in West Savannah. She is survived by three daughters, Janet Harris, Elteaser (Tina) Buttry, Regina Harris; two sons, Earl Johnson and Edward Johnson and one son-in-law, Josh Harris all of Savannah; two daughters-in-law, Sylathia Johnson, and Eleanor Jones; sisters, Ida Bowen of Los Angeles and Carrie Rogers of Chicago; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and many grand-nieces and nephews.
