Born in Greenville, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lillie Carter Gaston.Survivors: daughter-in-law, Penny Davis; granddaughters, Gail Edison, Sicklerville, N.J., Ife Azikiwe, Pittsgrove, N.J. and Stacy Smith, Somerdale, N.J.; great-grandsons, Michael Davis, Akil Azikiwe and Anthony Smith, all of New Jersey; great-great-grandchildren, Azlan Davis, Rahmyymte Boyce, Amani Azikiwe and Jalen Samuel Davis; nieces, Joan Peters, Versina Summers and Dorothy Footman; nephew, J.
