Funeral service for Lorene Jackson Williams, 93, will be Saturday, September 21, 2013, 11 a.m. at Curtis and Son North Chapel with the Rev. Keith Owensby officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. She died September 13, 2013 in Springfield, VA. She was a member of Valley View Church of God and was retired from Avondale Mills after 30 years. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Williams; son, Jerry D. Williams; brothers, Owen Jackson, James Austin Jackson, Stonewall Jackson. Survivors are her son, Joel Williams of Springfield, VA; sisters, Weston Long, Eloise Mims, and Creola Bierley; grandchildren, Jerri Michelle McMurphy, Timothy Scott Williams, Bowdie Allen Williams, Stevie Jay Williams; 8 great grandchildren.
