Dr. Lisa-Marie Calderone-Stewart, 53, of Milwaukee, Wis., entered into eternal life on Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at Zilber Family Hospice in Wauwatosa, Wis. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 300 Central Ave., Mountainside, N.J. 07092, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012. Lisa was born on Jan. 14, 1958, in Montgomery, Ala., to Joseph Phillip Calderone and Constance Croce Calderone. She grew up in Linden and Mountainside, N.J., and attended Union Catholic High School in Scotch Plains, N.J. In Massachusetts, she graduated cum laude from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester (1979, A.B. psychology), and attended graduate school at Lesley College in Cambridge (1980, M.Ed., early childhood education). She also earned a doctorate in leadership for the advancement of learning and service from Cardinal Stritch University in 2003, doing research on the impact of leadership training on young people. Dr. Calderone-Stewart is survived by her two sons, Michael and his wife, Megan, of St. Augustine, Fla., and Ralph and his wife, Cassie, of Franklin, Wis., and by her three brothers, Joseph Jr. and his wife, Heidi, of Mountainside, N.J.; Steven and his wife, Marie, of Whately, Mass., and David and his wife, Rosemary, of Basking Ridge, N.J.; by her three nieces, Bernadette, Elizabeth and Barbara, and her three grandsons, Evan, Isaac and Kaleb.
