HENDERSON, Linda Janet (nee Gamble) - Linda was born in Montreal, Quebec on February 14, 1949, passed away in the hospital on October 31, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer that she fought with dignity and grace. She leaves behind her beloved son, Douglas Robert Henderson and spouse Tamara; her brothers Douglas Blair Gamble (spouse Bonnie Reid) and David Allan Gamble; and her grandchildren; twins Ryan and Nicole and Jacob, Morgan and Cody. She was precedeased in death by her parents Isabelle Janet Gamble (nee McLeod) and Blair Percy Gamble with whom she is now reunited. In addition to her family she leaves many friends, including special friends Nadar Massoud (spouse Susy Da Rocha), Marsha Hewiit (spouse Joel Ruimy) and Melanie Sampson (spouse Randy). The hallmark of Linda's life was her generosity of spirit, always putting the needs of others before her own and never expecting anything in return. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched, those who were fortunate to have enjoyed the warmth of her gentle soul. Friends and family will be received on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Turner & Porter Butler Funeral Home located at 4933 Dundas Street West, from 1-3 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 1 p.m. Donations can be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation located at 20 Victoria Street, 6th floor, Toronto, ON M5C 2N8.
