Lee S. Age 74 of 396 Vargo Rd., Horseheads, NY passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2003 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Mr. Williams was born June 1, 1928 in Borden , NY the son of the late Lee and Erma Gould Williams. Lee was a graduate of Addison High School. He was veteran of the Korean War, serving his country with the US Air Force from 1950 to 1954 in Shepard Field and Amarillo, TX. He married his wife, Ila Boom Williams, on February 14 , 1957 and they celebrated their 46th Wedding Anniversary on February 14 , 2003. Lee graduated from Lycoming Technical Institute in Williamsport, PA. He was a licensed A & P Mechanic and a Radio Technician retiring from Elmira Aeronautical Corporation with over 36 years of service. Lee was dedicated to the flying safety of his customers. Lee was a member of The American Legion Post #0730 in Addison for 29 years and a member of Old Oak Lodge #364 F&AM in Horseheads, NY. Lee was predeceased by his parents; and his sister, Jeannine Williams Webb. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ila Boom Williams; sons and daughter-in-law, Ray Williams of Horseheads, NY and Jon and Kelly Williams of Horseheads, NY; grandchildren, Zachery Williams and Morgan Leana Williams both of Horseheads, NY ; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Donald and Sandra Boom and George Boom all of Horseheads, NY; nieces and nephews, Lee(Janet) Webb, Mark Webb, Michael (Dawn) Webb, Tammy Stuart, Jodi (Mike) Crane; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Van Buskirk-Lynch Funeral Home, Mill St. and Grand Central Ave., Horseheads, NY on Tuesday, February 25, 2003 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Mr. Williams' Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 11 AM at the Funeral Home. The Rev. Larry W. Parker will officiate. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Horseheads, NY where Full Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Williams.
