Kathleen Williams died Monday, November 5, 2012 at UMass Marlborough Hospital. She was born to Fred and Mary Perry Bammerlin on May 21, 1920 in Logansport, Indiana. She graduated from Urbana High School, Urbana, Indiana and Indiana University School of Education. She taught public school for 7 years in Indiana. She lived in Acton since 1961 and was a switchboard operator at Emerson Hospital retiring in 1990. The past year she resided in Marlborough with her son and daughter in law. Kathleen was married to Richard H. Williams who died in 1992. She was predeceased by her son, John Williams. She is survived by her sons and their wives: Perry Williams, MD and Tamara Lipshee, MD of Riverdale, NY; Philip and Sally Williams of Marlborough MA; Michael and Susan Williams of Fallston, MD and daughter in law Kathy Williams of Framingham, MA. She leaves 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Betty Peters of San Diego, CA and Toni German of Cozad, NE. She is also survived by three nieces, Nancy Collins of Indiana and Kathleen Chandler and Sandy Cooper of California. Kathleen enjoyed volunteering, gardening, cooking, reading, classical music and bridge. She is remembered as a loving mother and a devoted grandmother and great grandmother. She was a kind and generous friend and an example to all. There will be no memorial services. There will be a private celebration of her life at a later date.
