Kathleen F. Burke, 92, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully Sunday August 25, 2013. She was a lifelong resident of Syracuse and a graduate of Crouse Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1943. Kathleen was a Communicant of Holy Family Church where she had been a devoted parishioner since 1964. She was a founding member of the Ladies AOH and a member of the Westhill Ladies Golf League. Kathleen was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, James W. Burke and four sisters, Anne, Marge, Lou and Millie. She is survived by daughters, Kathleen (David) Case, Mary Ellen (John) Roszkowski and Maureen (Jef) Franklin; brother-in-law, John Murphy; grandchildren, Michael, Brian (Maria), Kim (David), John, Megan, Mary Colleen (Pat), Margaret Ann, Casey and Ryan; great-grandchildren, D.J., Casey, Mason and Ellie; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at noon at Holy Family Church, 127 Chapel Drive Fairmount. Calling hours will be held Wednesday prior to the mass from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Edward J. Ryan & Son Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Ave. Burial will be in Veteran's Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Elderwood Health Care at Birchwood, Activities Department 4800 Bear Rd. Liverpool, NY 13088. Date of Death: August 25, 2013
