BROWN -Kathleen Brown (nee MoncktonHicks) passed away peacefully on November 3, 2005 at Stensrud Lodge in Saskatoon. Kathleen was born on November 2, 1922 in the Readlyn, SK area. She lived her early life in the areas of Moose Jaw and Regina, and then, as the wife of a United Church minister, in the areas of Govan, Milestone, Wiseton, Harris, Gainsborough, Dundurn and Saskatoon. Kathleen was predeceased by her husbands, Robert Stirling and Rev. J. Alvin Brown. She is survived by her children, Roberta Stirling, Earl (Brenda) Stirling-Brown, Shaunne (Bob Davidson), Tim (Laura) Brown and Kimberly Brown; her grandchildren, Gillian (Kevin Smith), Stacey Stirling-Brown, Christan (Jason Milot), Erin (Jason Krahn), Colby Brown, Eli Brown; her greatgrandchildren, Camren and Dominic Smith, Gabrielle Milot, Liam and Ainsley Krahn. Kathleen will always be remembered for her kindness to others and for the graceful way she dealt with ill health in her final years. Kathleen's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Stensud Lodge who provided compassionate care for their mother. In keeping with Kathleen's wishes, there will be no funeral. Her body has been bequeathed to the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, University of Saskatchewan, for the advancement of medical education and science. Interment will follow at a later date in the Dundurn cemetery. If desired, donations can be made to the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, University of Saskatchewan.
