Covington, GA - Funeral service for Mr. John Willie Davis, 70, formerly of Jacksonville, will be Friday, October 19, 2012, at 1 p.m. from the Goodson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Edward S. Bolton officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacksonville City Cemetery. Public visitation will commence from noon until 8 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Goodson Funeral Home, Inc. will be directing. Mr. Davis died Thursday, October 11, 2012, in Fairburn, Georgia. Survivors to cherish his memory include his wife, Deborah Green Davis, of Covington, Ga.; children, Angelique Felder, of Augusta, Ga., Tyra Felder, Tasha Davis, Christal Williams, Lowell Williams, and Ming Davis, all of Brooklyn, N.Y., John Willie Davis Jr., of Orlando, Fla., April Green, of Covington, Ga., Alisia Lawson, of Mesa, Ariz., Tamekio Gray, of Decatur, Ga., and India Williams, of Pottsville, Pa.; sisters and brothers, Lisa Flemmings, of Greensboro, N.C., Dennis Flemmings, of North Brunswick, N.J., Wilhelmina Davis, Jackie Davis, Charlene Davis, Yvonne Davis, Renee Davis, Michael Davis, Willie Davis, Russell Davis, Denise Davis, and Eugene Davis, all of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Debra Baskett, of Oxford; thirty-five grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as a special group of friends from Brooklyn, New York.
