SHANKS, John - Passed away on Sunday August 31st, 2008 at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie. John Shanks in his 59th year, best friend and soul mate of Linda. Loving father of Steven (Lee Anna), Gregory and Julie (Jay Harwood). Devoted Papa of, Tyler, Kyle, Andrew, Dylan and Ayden. Loved brother of Evelyn Wolfenden and special brother in-law of Ron (Miriam) Parise, Denise (Heidi) Parise and sister in- law Bernice (Dennis) Rochon. John will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends may call at ADAMS FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 445 St. Vincent Street, (just north of Cundles Rd.) Barrie, on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Parish prayers will be held in the funeral home at 8:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church 65 Amelia Street, Barrie on Saturday September 6th, 2008 at 10 o'clock am. Memorial donations to the Royal Victoria Hospital Dialysis Unit would be appreciated by the family.
