Retired Welder AUGUSTA, Ga.- John Patterson Williams, 76, entered into rest Thursday, December 25, 2003 at the Veterans Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2003 at Poteet Funeral Home, West Chapel, 3686 Wheeler Road, with the Rev. Chris Maze officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, Ruth D. Williams, of Augusta; four sons, Johnny H. Williams, of Augusta, Richard P. Williams and Danny Joe Williams, both of Harlem, Larry Lee Williams of Martinez; one daughter, Judy S. Dempsey of North Augusta, S.C.; one brother, Lloyd M. Williams and half brother, Leonard Duncan, both of Florida; eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Mr. Williams was a member of the Local #150 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union and a past member of the American Legion Post 63.
