John Michael Smith, 48, of Princeton, WV, passed away on August 11, 2010 at Princeton Community Hospital, Princeton, WV. Michael was born in Waltham, MA and at the age of 10 moved to New Orleans where he lived until 1998. Michael was the son of the late Fred P. Smith. He was an avid Red Sox Fan and he also loved the New Orleans Saints. Survivors include his mother, Carole Palmer Smith Clark and his step-father Paul of Terrytown, La. Grandparents, Raymond and Hazel Clark of Iowa. His brothers Rick Smith and his wife Donna of WV and Todd Clark of Iowa, two sisters Shawna Gongora and her husband Walter of Terrytown La. And Tonja Furrow and her husband Michael of Iowa. He also leaves his nephews, Craig Smith, Jarett Gongora and Wade Miller, and his nieces Gabrielle Smith, Christi Gongora and Jessica Miller. He also leaves his loving friend, Dreama Dowel of WV. Private services will be held in the future.
