John L. Williams of 105 Golf Lane, died Saturday at his home. Born in Laurens County, a son of the late Fred Williams and Janie Austin Williams, he was a member of Poplar Spring AME Church in Laurens, a graduate of Sanders High School and a former employee of ECC Card Clothing in Simpsonville. He is survived by his wife, Charlie Mae Criswell Williams, of the home; two sons, Kilisa Williams and Auji Williams, of the home; and one grandchild. Funeral service: 2 p.m. Thursday at New Liberty Baptist Church in Fountain Inn, with the Rev. Tony Humbert officiating. Burial will be at Poplar Spring AME Church cemetery in Laurens. Visitation: 6 to 6:30 tonight at the Beasley Funeral Home, Fountain Inn. The family is at the home.
