Williams, John A. ALBANY John A. Williams, 53, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 after succumbing to an occupational accident. John was born in Georgetown, Guyana, South America. He attended Guymine Technical Complex 1971 - 1976, where he studied mechanical engineer-ing. He migrated to the United States in 1982 and has been a resident of Albany ever since. He worked for McKinney Steel Company for ten years and later CSX Transportation. He had numerous hobbies including golfing, fishing, and playing cricket. He leaves to mourn, his beloved wife Cheryl of 24 years and adorable children, Onika, Onessa, Kenneth and Kendra Williams; sisters, Faye Semple of Albany, Judy Durant and Violet Hackett of Guyana; brothers, Keith and wife Micha Williams of Holland and Wayne Robertson of New York City; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Cathedral of All Saints, 62 S. Swan St. Calling hours Friday 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Garland Brothers Funeral Home, 75 Clinton Ave., Albany.
