ENGELHARDT, Jo-Anne Mae (nee Graham) February 25, 1947 - January 3, 2008 Jo-Anne Engelhardt of Okotoks, Alberta, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, January 3, 2008, in the High River Hospital. She was born in Calgary, Alberta, on February 25, 1947, and graduated from Crescent Heights High School in 1964. She lived in the Central Alberta area her whole life. Jo-Anne is survived by Edward, her husband of thirty-seven years; her daughter, Janine; son, Michael; and her granddaughters, Makayla and Olivia. She is also survived by her mother, Joan Graham, and sister, Susan Gole. Jo-Anne was actively involved in the sport of figure skating for many years, both as a skater with Calalta Figure Skating Club and later as a professional instructor with clubs in Calgary, Red Deer, Taber and Vulcan. For the past thirteen years, she and her husband Ed have owned and operated the River's Edge Golf Club in Okotoks, Alberta. A Celebration of Jo-Anne's Life will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at St. James Catholic Church, 338 Avenue and 32 Street East, Okotoks, Alberta, at 1:00 p.m. Prayer Services will be held at St. James Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 8, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jo-Anne may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Society, 10909 Jasper Avenue, Suite 322, Pacific Plaza, Edmonton, AB T5L 3L9 or to the S.P.C.A., 4455 - 110 Avenue S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7, or to a charity of one's choice.
