Jeffrey Alan Davis, 53, of Springfield, Mo., passed away on August 22, 2005, in Springfield, Mo. He was born on July 13, 1952, in Springfield, Mo., to N. Perry and Imogene Davis. Jeff's personal history began by attending Glendale High School, graduating in 1970. He attended the University of Arkansas and was a member of the Lambda Chi Fraternity. After marriage, Jeff attended the University of Missouri at Rolla studying Chemical Engineering. Jeff also studied classical guitar in Dallas, Texas, and his love of the guitar and music led him in many directions from performing in his own band to devoting his talents to teaching students at Springfield Music. He will be remembered as a loving husband and father and a caring son, brother, uncle, and friend. Jeff leaves to honor his memory, a loving and devoted wife, Sandra J. Davis of Springfield, Mo. three sons, Michael P. Davis, serving a church mission in London, England, Scott C. Davis, and Stephen A. Davis of Springfield a daughter, Brittany N. Davis of Springfield his sisters, Cindy Davis Ling of Greensboro, S.C., and Linda Burns of Pasadena, Texas and a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and caring friends and acquaintances. He was preceded in death by his parents, N. Perry and Imogene. Visitation for friends and family will be held on Friday, August 26, 2005, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 4450 S. Farm Road 141, Springfield, Mo. The funeral service will follow at the church at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be at the Clear Creek Cemetery, Willard, Mo. Services provided by Greenlawn Funeral Home South, (417) 8813000.
