McKane, 65, of 3077 North Triphammer Road, Lansing, New York, died at 10:55 am, Tuesday, February 22, 2005, at Cayuga Medical Center at Ithaca.Born June 11, 1939 in Locke, New York, he was the son of John and Florence (nee Jacobs) McKane. Mr. McKane was employed with Local # 545 in Syracuse and was an operator engineer. He was a member of the Lansing Rod and Gun Club and a former volunteer for The Lansing Fire Department.Survivors include his wife, Lois (nee Schutt) of Lansing; his son, James Jr. of Kenner, LA; his daughter, Peggy (Paul) Matulewicz of Milan, PA; his brothers, Ronald of Etna, Leland of Genoa, Richard (Nancy) of King Ferry, NY, Edward (Charlene) of Groton; his sister, Arlene Goss of Groton, NY; and his aunt, Sarah McKane of Ludlowville.Funeral services will be Friday, 2:00 p.m. at The Lansing Funeral Home, Inc., Rev. Sam Neno, Pastor of the Groton Assembly of God will officiate. Interment in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY, will be delayed.
